  Medusa the Gorgon - aka Snake Hair Bitch Medusa is perhaps one of the better-known monsters from Greek legends. Defeated by Perseus, son of Zeus and the human princess Danae. Perseus was cock blocking this dude, King Polydictes (quite the name, right?), who wanted to marry his mother, the princess Danae. King Polydictes triple-dog dared Perseus to bring him the head of the ugliest fucking hell bitch he could think of, that being Medusa. Medusa was a gorgon, which means she was part of a fugly family of monsters. She had an evil weave made of living snakes and a stone-cold stare that literally turned mother fuckers into statues. Day 62 at the Midnight Mission Recovery Program "Then and Now: I Am on My Way" From being jobless, hopeless and full of drugs, to being sober, clean, on work therapy and full of life! It's been quite the rollercoaster 🎢.  Here's a little writing I have been inspired, at this moment, to put down: I have been in the valley of death; I am climbing the mountain to a better life. The potential to fall is real, the slope is slippery, but my will and my spirit is stronger than it has been in just a year ago today. 🌄⭐🙏 Change is real but it takes work. Faith without works is dead. Thoughts and feelings are meaningless without action. I thank Spirit, the God of my understanding, for working in my life and granting me the answer to my pitiful prayers. ❤️ I look back at this person of a year ago, I see things I recognize but there are parts I do not. Day 20 at the Midnight Mission: Exciting News! Today, Day 20 of my time here at the Midnight Mission Recovery Program I have accomplished a long time goal of mine. I am overcome with gratitude and thank the Gods and "Those Who Watch Over Me In Perfect Love and Perfect Trust" for the amazing services offered at the Midnight Mission of Los Angeles. The opportunities that have been given to me and that continue to unfold have been so overwhelmingly generous in more ways than one. There is something that is said at the recovery groups AA and NA (Alchoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous) that I really didn't think too much abofut till now. They say that if you are at a meeting you are in the least, "Sane, Safe, and more than likely Sober." Just to have a space that offeres all three of these exoperiances is such a blessing, So much so I was able to stay clean, motivasted and inspired to continue forth in my personal growth.
